Gas Flows from Summit LNG Temrinal Ahead of Schedule
30 Apr 2019

The Summit LNG Terminal has completed the commissioning of its Floating Storage and Regasification Unit more than one month ahead of schedule. Initial regasification has taken place, and the project will now ramp up to reach around 500m cubic feet per day to the Bangladesh national grid.

Summit LNG is the country’s second floating regasification unit, and holds the potential for it to significantly ramp up total gas imports. The FSRU is moored 6km off the coast and connected via an subsea pipeline. The vessel is chartered for a period of 15 years, and is expected to average 7.5Mtpa of regasification once fully operational.
