Company Systems Analyst
The Company
AME Research is an innovative research
company within the financial services sector, we are currently growing our
market share locally and overseas. We specialise in understanding company
operations to provide greater clarity on future revenue and profit
expectations. This is achieved by collecting production and financial data on a
quarterly and annual basis, then adding our own engineering models and local
knowledge. This provides more robust company valuations and
forecasting. Our clients range from Government to Private Equity, they
rely upon our expert analysis to make strategic and valuable decisions.
The Role
We are looking for methodical candidates with
very strong analytic background and a logic approach to problem solving with
the ability to learn quickly on the job whilst contributing to and improving
our current practices to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy. You will be
working to achieve our common goal of helping to build our research
effort by collecting meaningful company, asset and project data.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis of the current system highlighting
inefficiencies and creating a process map for executing identified
improvements.
- Long-term plan for this role will include the design
and implementation of a new system to integrate the current platforms to
one portal. This will require taking end-to-end responsibility for the
project and include the effective migration and management of this
process.
- Bridge the gap between programmer developers and
internal users to manage requirements, maintain UI and ensure UAT is
carried out and documented.
- Individual asset and company analysis including
ensuring the underlying data is robust to create long term appraisals for
each entity.
- Ownership of updating data for the base metals
industries currently covered and plan for onboarding new mentals to
enhance suite of data available.
- Maintenance of system documentation and user guides and
creation of training modules for both internal and external users.
Role requirements, experience, and skills
Essential:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in analysis or data
analytics with background as a company analyst, equity researcher or
credit analyst preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, science, engineering or
similar.
- Previous proven experience facilitating system
upgrade/improvements including producing business requirement documents,
functional specifications and management of UAT.
- Polished written and oral communication skills with the
capability to convey complex technical detail into succinct ‘plain
English’.
- Creative solutions to problem solving.
- Comprehensive understanding of company financial
statements.
- Strong analysis background and familiar with a range of
data analysis techniques
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and performance
monitoring.
- Ability to work in an agile environment.
- Excellent personal time management skills.
- Knowledge of programming languages notably SQL, Python
or C#.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office programmes.
Valued:
- Basic understanding of base metals mining industry.
- An interest in understanding how a company really works
or 'ticks' at an asset level.
